The ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) Certification recognizes manufacturing MSMEs that achieve best in class quality and minimize their environmental impact ("Zero Defect" in product, "Zero Effect" on environment) helping Indian businesses stand out in global supply chains and domestic tenders.
ZED covers all Indian manufacturing MSMEs aiming for global quality and green compliance. Services, trading and large companies are generally not eligible.
Register on the ZED portal, complete your self assessment against ZED parameters, and upload needed documents.
Abtik analyzes your business gaps, provides handholding, and supports corrective actions/training to meet ZED criteria.
Coordinate third party audit; after approval receive your ZED Certificate and subsidies for upgrades.
ZED certified units receive preference and marks in government/public procurement.

The ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) Certificate is issued by the Quality Council of India under the Ministry of MSME. It recognizes MSMEs for adopting world class manufacturing processes, minimizing defects, and reducing environmental impact. ZED helps Indian MSMEs compete globally and meet export/tender requirements.
All Micro, Small, and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises registered in India (with a valid Udyam/MSME registration) can apply. Service sector MSMEs are not eligible as of now.
There are three certification levels: Bronze (Awareness), Silver (Adoption of standard processes), and Gold (Excellence, global standards). MSMEs can progress through all or start at any stage after self and third party assessment.
Benefits include government subsidies on certification fees, priority in government tenders/public contracts, branding as a globally competitive unit, easier access to credit, and enhanced market trust.
Aadhaar/PAN of proprietors/partners/directors, Udyam (MSME) registration, business process information, quality/environmental data, and relevant manufacturing records.
Abtik provides end to end support from application, self assessment, documentation, training on ZED parameters to third party assessment coordination and subsidy facilitation.
